Description
A reproduction 1780s day dress made from brown Macclesfield silk. It has a vandyked collar and lacings and cuffs of cream silk ribbon. The front of the gown is boned with wood.
It is worn a padded false rump, chemise and corset. The fichu is made from fine white muslin, which I embroisered with a floral design.
The shoes are reproduction Georgian shoes, and the stockings are green silk. My hair is arranged in a style similar to one found in a contemporary portrait.
